Purple Heart Cygnet Floor Lamp

The Cygnet floor lamp was launched at the Saatchi gallery in May 2011 as part of the Collect exhibition of world class craft. In June it was short listed for World Architecture News lighting design of the year. The lamp was originally made from Purple Heart, but since then it has been produced in Ash, Oak and Walnut. Every element of the piece has been hand made from the turned shade and light pendent, down to the brass dimmer switch and lamp support. This piece is hand finished using Danish oil.
